Jaguar Skills is more known for his insane mixing skills than his production prowess, but that doesn't stop him from being a bad boy on that side of things as well. His single Lick Off/Ninjaman has been given the remix treatment by Consouls, Bakes and Barely Royal, the former of which turns an already good original into a rip-roaring bit of dancefloor D&B that would go well on Ram Records or Viper Recordings. Bakes brings an especially good remix of 'Ninjaman', a diving, driving piece of low-frequency power that is gasping to be played out over a big sound-system. Finally, Barely Royal's dirty bassline take on 'Ninjaman' is something straight out of a Holy Goof or DJ Q set, an unsophisticated but heavy banger that, once more, just needs to be played loud. A solid EP this and something that'll inevitably be taken to the next level when Jaguar Skills is behind the decks.
